Adult Education Survey
Having in mind that participation of adults in education, training and learning in the context of life-long learning becomes more and more important, we carry out the Adult Educaton Survey every six years to observe changes and developments in this domain.
Apart from the Republic of Croatia, the Survey is concurrently conducted in all EU Member States (Adult Education Survey - AES).
The most recent Survey was conducted from 15 November 2022 to 13 February 2023 on randomly selected sample of eight thousand inhabitants of the Republic of Croatia aged from 18 to 69 years. The aim was to collect data on participation of adults in formal education, non-formal education and training, and informal learning, but also on obstacles to their participation in these activities.
The survey was conducted in two phases. The first phase was carried out by using the computer-assisted personal interview method and the second phase by using the computer-assisted telephone interview method performed by authorised interviewers of the Croatian Bureau of Statistics.
All collected data are confidential and considered an official secret. They will exclusively be used for statistical purposes and released as aggregates, and therefore the identity of any individual who participated in the Survey will not be disclosed.
The results of the most recent Survey will be released on 7 May 2024, while the conduct of the new Survey is scheduled for 2028.
