The total number of persons in employment in August 2025 amounted to 1 768 981

The total registered unemployment rate was 4.1%

In August 2025, the total number of persons in employment in the Republic of Croatia was 1 768 981, out of which 821 958 were women. Compared to July 2025, the total number of persons in employment decreased by 0.1% and the number of employed women by 0.2%. In the period from January to August 2025, as compared to the same period of 2024, the total number of persons in employment increased by 1.1% and the number of employed women by 1.4%.

In August 2025, the total number of persons in paid employment in legal entities in the Republic of Croatia amounted to 1 513 908, out of which 715 631 were women. Compared to July 2025, the number of persons in paid employment in legal entities as well as the number of employed women decreased by 0.1%. In August 2025, as compared to the previous month, the number of persons in employment in trade and crafts and free lances decreased by 0.5% and the number of employed women by 0.7%. The total number of employed insured persons - private farmers decreased by 0.3% and the number of employed female farmers by 0.2%.

The total number of unemployed persons increased by 3.2% and the number of unemployed women by 3.0% in August 2025, as compared to July 2025. The total registered unemployment rate in August 2025 was 4.1% and for women it was 4.8%.
