The prices in May 2025 increased by 3.5% on average at the annual level
At the monthly level, they increased by 0.3%
In May 2025, compared to May 2024 (at the annual level), the prices of goods and services for personal consumption, measured by the consumer price index, increased by 3.5% on average, while compared to April 2025 (at the monthly level) they increased by 0.3% on average.Observing the main divisions of the ECOICOP classification, at the annual level, the highest increase on average in consumer prices was recorded in the following divisions: Restaurants and hotels, of 9.0% (contribution to the growth of +0.46 percentage points), Miscellaneous goods and services, of 6.2% (+0.39 percentage points), Recreation and culture, of 5.8% (+0.30 percentage points), Food and non-alcoholic beverages, of 5.7% (+1.52 percentage points), Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels, of 5.6% (+0.95 percentage points), Education, of 5.3% (+0.04 percentage points) and Health, of 5.1% (+0.16 percentage points). An increase was not recorded in all divisions, though. Thus, in the division of Transport, the prices decreased by 1.9% (contribution to the decrease of -0.26 percentage points) and in Clothing and footwear by 1.7% (-0.11 percentage points).
In May 2025, compared to May 2024 (at the annual level), the prices of goods and services for personal consumption, measured by the consumer price index, increased by 4.3% on average, while compared to April 2025 (at the monthly level) they increased by 0.5% on average.
