Registrations for the seventh Statistical Competition are now open

Will seven be your lucky number?

We are sure that these days high school students across Croatia are wondering - when do they start registering for the Statistical Competition? We have good news, waiting has come to an end! Registrations for the seventh season of the competition popular among statistics lovers are now officially open, and you can join your team and apply by 12 January 2024 at the latest.

When something is good, why change it, so in the new season, from January when the competition part begins and all the way to April when we will announce the winning teams, we will walk on already well-beaten tracks. In practice, this implies that in the first round we will stimulate your brains by requesting you to show your general knowledge of mathematics and statistics, to search databases, and to prove your understanding of the statistical text.

Those who successfully master the first round, in the second one, as in previous years, will be able to show not only the knowledge of statistics through the analysis of the obtained dataset, but also to express their creative side as much as possible through the presentation of the results obtained.

We also made sure that the students and their mentors, besides the desire to acquire new knowledge and experiences, become additionally motivated, and, in this respect, this year we have secured valuable prizes such as mobile phones, tablets and smart watch, and in that we have been joined by the University Computing Centre (Srce) of the University of Zagreb, which will reward the most successful with their course.
