Increase in the number of journeys of vessels on cruise in the first five months of 2024

The most foreign vessels on cruise visited Dubrovnik

In the period from January to May 2024, as compared to the same period of 2023, the number of journeys of vessels on cruise increased by 18 thousand and the number of passengers aboard by 45 thousand.
 
In the period from January to May 2024, there were 40 foreign vessels on cruise that sailed into Croatian seaports and they realised 144 journeys, while a total of 208 thousand passengers arrived on board these vessels and stayed in Croatia for 331 days.

In the period from January to May 2024 compared to the first five months of 2023, the number of journeys of foreign vessels on cruise increased by 14.3% and the number of passengers on them by 27.9%. The total number od sojourns of these vessels in the territorial sea of the Republic of Croatia increased by 10.7%.

The most visits of foreign vessels on cruise was realised in the seaport of Dubrovnik (92 visits), followed by the seaports of Split (70 visits), Zadar (45 visits), Korčula and Šibenik (16 visits each), Hvar (13 visits) and Rovinj (12 visits).
