In December 2024, the number of persons in employment decreased by 0.1% compared to November 2024

The total registered unemployment rate was 5.1%

In December 2024, the total number of persons in employment in the Republic of Croatia was 1 710 783, out of which 801 122 were women. Compared to November 2024, the total number of persons in employment decreased by 0.1%, while the number of employed women increased by 0.5%.
 
Compared to the same month of the previous year, the total number of persons in employment increased in December 2024 by 2.1% and the number of employed women by 2.4%. In the period from January to December 2024, as compared to the same period of the previous year, the total number of persons in employment increased by 1.9% and the number of employed women by 1.7%.
 
The total number of unemployed persons increased by 1.9% as well as the number of unemployed women, by 1.4%, in December 2024, as compared to November 2024. The total registered unemployment rate in December 2024 was 5.1% and for women it was 5.8%.
