Completion of the project related to the quality improvement

CBS confirms once again that it is committed to quality of all processes, products and services

After four years of implementation, the Croatian Bureau of Statistics presented the outcomes of the project Quality Management System and Documentation of Statistical Surveys, thus successfully completing this two-phased project.
 
A budget of 1.8 million kuna, drawn from European structural and investment funds, was committed to the upgrade of functionalities for monitoring the quality of statistical products in the POMI application and base, which brought to the harmonisation of the quality management in the Croatian Bureau of Statistics with the standard for quality reporting as prescribed by Eurostat.
 
New tools and functionalities have been added for monitoring and reporting of the quality of statistical products, while end users will also benefit from the upgrade of the whole business process through accessibility of information on the quality of statistical products on the website of the Croatian Bureau of Statistics presented in quality reports, which are specific certificates which guarantee that statistical data are collected, processed and disseminated in line with European standards.
 
This project confirms once again that the Croatian Bureau of Statistics is committed to quality of all processes, products and services, following the quality principles defined in the European Statistics Code of Practice, which are: relevance, accuracy and reliability, timeliness and punctuality, coherence and comparability, as well as accessibility and clarity of data.
