The total registered unemployment rate was 5.4%
In January 2025, the total number of persons in employment in the Republic of Croatia was 1 693 981, out of which 787 588 were women. Compared to December 2024, the total number of persons in employment decreased by 1.0% and the number of employed women by 1.7%. Compared to the same month of the previous year, the total number of persons in employment increased by 3.5% in January 2025 and the number of employed women by 3.6%.
In January 2025, the total number of persons in paid employment in legal entities in the Republic of Croatia amounted to 1 470 120, out of which 695 253 were women. Compared to December 2024, the number of persons in paid employment in legal entities decreased by 1.0% and the number of employed women by 1.7%. The number of persons in paid employment in legal entities in January 2025, as compared to the same month of the previous year, increased by 3.6% and the number of employed women by 3.7%.
The total number of unemployed persons increased by 6.3% and the number of unemployed women by 5.3% in January 2025, as compared to December 2024. The total registered unemployment rate in January 2025 was 5.4% and for women, it was 6.2%.
