The unemployment rate reached 4.8%
In August 2024, the total number of persons in employment in the Republic of Croatia was 1 738 838, out of which 806 451 were women. Compared to July 2024, the total number of persons in employment remained the same, while the number of employed women was 0.4% lower.
Compared to the same month of the previous year, the total number of persons in employment increased in August 2024 by 2.2% and the number of employed women by 2.1%.
In the period from January to August 2024, as compared to the same period of the previous year, the total number of persons in employment increased by 1.7% and the number of employed women by 1.3%.
The number of unemployed persons in August 2024, as compared to July 2024, increased by 0.2% and the number of unemployed women by 0.3%. The total registered unemployment rate in August 2024 was 4.8% and for women it was 5.8%.
