At the monthly level, it was 2.5% higher
The industrial production, working-day adjusted, decreased by 3.3% in May 2024, as compared to May last year. Viewed by seasonally and working-day adjusted data at the monthly level, the industrial production increased by 2.5%.
In May 2024 compared to May 2023, the industrial production, working-day adjusted, decreased the most in Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply, by 17.4%, then in Manufacturing, by 1.9%, and in Mining and quarrying, by 0.9%.
At the end of May 2024, the total stocks of industrial finished products in the Republic of Croatia were 0.7% lower than the stocks at the end of April 2024 and 11.2% lower than the stocks at the end of May 2023.
The total number of persons employed in industry in May 2024 was 0.2% lower than in April 2024 and 2.2% lower than in May 2023.
