In April 2022, at the annual level, the prices of goods and services for personal consumption 9.4% higher on average.
The prices of goods and services for personal consumption, measured by consumer price index, increased by 2.6% on average in April 2022, as compared to March 2022. As compared to April 2021, that is, at the annual level, they increased by 9.4% on average.
Observed by the main divisions of the ECOICOP classification, the highest increase in consumer prices at the annual level was recorded in the following divisions: Transport, of 16.4% (+2.41 percentage points), Food and non-alcoholic beverages, of 12.8% (+3.32 percentage points), Restaurants and hotels, of 11.1% (+0.55 percentage points), Furnishings, household equipment and routine household maintenance, of 9.9% (+0.56 percentage points) and in Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels, of 8.8% (+1.48 percentage points).
Observing the selected groups, the highest increase in consumer prices at the annual level was recorded in Energy, of 19.3% (contribution to the growth of +3.24 percentage points).
At the monthly level, the highest increase on average in consumer prices was recorded in the divisions Clothing and footwear, of 7.6% (contribution to the growth of +0.44 percentage points, new collection of clothes and shoes), Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels, of 5.3% (+0.89 percentage points, due to higher prices of natural gas and electricity for households), Restaurants and hotels, of 3.8% (+0.19 percentage points), Food and non-alcoholic beverages, of 2.5% (+0.65 percentage points), Furnishings, household equipment and routine household maintenance, of 1.9% (+0.11 percentage points), and Transport, of 1.7% (+0.25 percentage points, due to higher prices of fuels and lubricants for personal transport equipment).
