Working meeting of the Programme Committee of the Conference on Quality held

The Croatian Bureau of Statistics hosts the 12th European Conference on Quality in Official Statistics

A working meeting of the Programme Committee of the 12th European Conference on Quality in Official Statistics was held on 18 and 19 February 2026 at the premises of the Croatian Bureau of Statistics.

The Programme Committee, composed of fourteen members - representatives, Eurostat, statistical offices of the European Statistical System, the academic community and the Croatian Bureau of Statistics, plays a key role in creating the conference programme.

The European Conference on Quality in Official Statistics traditionally brings together the representatives of national statistical offices, the academic community and international institutions, as well as experts from various fields, to discuss the latest findings and key challenges facing official statistics today.

This year’s conference will take place from 3 to 5 June 2026 in Šibenik under the motto ''Official Statistics: Enhancing Trust, Shaping the Future'’. The Programme encompasses three topics focused on the latest challenges in official statistics. A special emphasis is placed on the challenges associated with digitalisation and the application of artificial intelligence in official statistics, as well as its impact on the quality, transparency and trust in official statistics.

The importance and relevance of the conference is evidenced by the great interest of the international statistical community, with more than three hundred submissions of scientific and professional papers from 58 countries around the world.
