Indicators of tourism intensity and density available for the first time

In the PC-Axis databases it is now possible, for the first time, to find new indicators in the Tourism domain, i.e. tourism intensity and density rates by statistical regions, counties, towns and municipalities.

The tourism intensity rate is presented as the ratio of tourist arrivals or nights to 100 inhabitants and as the ratio of the number of permanent beds to 100 inhabitants, while the tourism density rate is presented as the number of tourist arrivals and nights per surface area unit (in km2) and as the number of permanent beds per surface area unit (in km2).
