Statistical Survey on Road Transport by Light Goods Vehicles is underway

Those selected for the sample can submit their data by mail or fill out an electronic questionnaire

The Croatian Bureau of Statistics is conducting the Statistical Survey on Road Transport by Light Goods Vehicles for the first time. The Survey will be carried out in the period from 1 April to 30 June 2024.

The aim of the Survey is to collect data on the operation of all light goods vehicles in the Republic of Croatia, which will be used to estimate the total amount of transported freight and vehicle kilometres travelled, with a special emphasis on the kilometres travelled in urban areas.
 
The survey is conducted on a sample of randomly selected vehicles of N1 category from the register of road motor vehicles of the Ministry of the Interior, with a load capacity of less than 3.5 tonnes. All owners and/or users of the selected vehicles (tradesmen, large and small enterprises, private family farms, natural persons) received an announcement letter and a questionnaire before the beginning of the Survey implementation, so we kindly ask you to  monitor the operation of the vehicles for the reference week specified in the form and for the specified vehicle registration number. In accordance with the method of conducting the Survey, the data for the selected vehicle can be entered in the printed questionnaire, which was delivered by mail, or by filling out the electronic questionnaire on the website of the Croatian Bureau of Statistics.

It is important to note that, in accordance with the provisions of the Official Statistics Act that refer to the confidentiality of statistical data, individual data collected by this Survey are an official secret and are statistically confidential, they are published exclusively in aggregate form and used exclusively for statistical purposes.
