Standardised system for managing and creating web questionnaires

Results of the project “Creating a Standard Platform for Web Questionnaires” presented

The Croatian Bureau of Statistics has presented the results of the project “Creating a Standard Platform for Web Questionnaires”, which aims, in accordance with the basic strategic document of the European Statistical System - The ESS Vision 2020, to reduce the costs of statistical surveys and the burden on reporting units.

By implementing the project worth 1.8 million kuna, withdrawn from the European Structural and Investment Funds, the Croatian Bureau of Statistics has established a standardised system for managing and creating web questionnaires, which increased the efficiency of the statistical system of the Republic of Croatia, reduced costs and further strengthened administrative capacity.
 
Standardisation of existing and development of new web questionnaires

Different approaches to the development and implementation of statistical surveys for which data are collected by web questionnaires have resulted in different versions of visually and functionally inconsistent web questionnaires as well as different information and communication solutions. Therefore, as part of the project in which the Croatian Bureau of Statistics cooperated with a consortium consisting of Combis d. o. o. and In Rebus d. o. o., a standard platform for web questionnaires was developed that will, in accordance with available resources, enable the standardisation of existing and the development of new web questionnaires.
 
All of this is a continuation of the multi-year process of modernisation of official statistics, and by introducing new information and communication solutions as well as increasing the efficiency of production processes, the Croatian Bureau of Statistics also continues to achieve its strategic goals.
