Number of persons in employment increased by 0.7% in April 2023 compared to previous month

Registered unemployment rate at 6.1%

In April 2023, the total number of persons in employment in the Republic of Croatia was 1 608 454, out of which 752 781 were women. Compared to March 2023, the total number of persons in employment as well as the number of employed women increased by 0.7%.

Compared to the same month of the previous year, the total number of persons in employment increased in April 2023 by 0.9% and the number of employed women by 1.4%. In the period from January to April 2023, as compared to the same period of the previous year, the total number of persons in employment increased by 0.9% and the number of employed women increased by 1.1%.

The total number of unemployed persons decreased by 5.9% and the number of unemployed women decreased by 5.7% in April 2023 as compared to March 2023.

The total registered unemployment rate in April 2023 was at 6.1% and for women at 7.2%.
