Number of persons in employment in October decreased by 0.1% compared to September

Registered unemployment rate in October at 6.2%

In October 2023, the total number of persons in employment in the Republic of Croatia was 1 667 104, out of which 777 295 were women. Compared to September 2023, the total number of persons in employment decreased by 0.1%, while the number of employed women increased by 0.3%.

Compared to the same month of the previous year, the total number of persons in employment increased in October 2023 by 1.5% and the number of employed women by 1.4%. In the period from January to October2023, as compared to the same period of the previous year, the total number of persons in employment increased by 1.2% and the number of employed women by 1.4%.

The total number of unemployed persons increased by 6.1% as well as the number of unemployed women, also by 6.1%, in October 2023, as compared to September2023. The total registered unemployment rate in October 2023 was 6.2% and for women it was 7.6%.
