Number of persons in employment in May 2023 increased by 1.7% on monthly basis

Registered unemployment rate in May 2023 was at 5.6%

In May 2023, the total number of persons in employment in the Republic of Croatia was 1 635 429, out of which 766 501 were women.
 
Compared to April 2023, the total number of persons in employment increased by 1.7% and the number of employed women by 1.8%. Compared to the same month of the previous year, the total number of persons in employment increased in May 2023 by 1.3% and the number of employed women by 1.7%. In the period from January to May 2023, as compared to the same period of the previous year, the total number of persons in employment increased by 1.0% and the number of employed women by 1.3%.
 
The total number of unemployed persons decreased by 7.2% and the number of unemployed women by 7.1% in May 2023, as compared to April 2023.

The total registered unemployment rate in May 2023 was 5.6% and for women it was 6.6%.
