More foreign vessels on cruise and more journeys and passengers in 2025 than in 2024
In the Croatian Adriatic, 10.5% more foreign vessels on cruise
In 2025, the number of foreign vessels on cruise that arrived in the territorial waters of the Republic of Croatia increased compared to 2024, by 10.5%. Those vessels realised a 3.0% increase in journeys, with 1.2% more passengers on board in 2025 compared to 2024. Foreign vessels on cruise spent more time in Croatia in 2025 than in 2024, with a 2.8% increase in the total duration of their stay.In 2025, there were 95 foreign vessels on cruise that arrived in Croatian seaports, realising 758 journeys. Those vessels stayed in Croatia for a total of 1 737 days, and they had 1.1 million passengers on board. They sailed under the flags of 16 countries, with the highest number of journeys realised under the flag of Malta. Out of a total of 758 journeys of foreign vessels on cruise, 364 were realised in August, July and September, which accounted for 48.0% of the total realised journeys in 2025.
The seaport of Dubrovnik, which was still the most visited port for foreign vessels on cruise, had a total of 557 visits in 2025. It was followed by the seaports of Split (315 visits), Zadar (222 visits), Korčula (125 visits), Hvar (109 visits), Rovinj (100 visits), and Šibenik (93 visits).
