Industrial production in April decreased by 3.5% at the annual level
The largest decrease was recorded in Manufacturing, of 5.2%, and in Mining and quarrying, of 4.3%
The industrial production, working-day adjusted, decreased by 3.5% in April 2023 compared to April of the previous year. Observing seasonally and working-day adjusted data, at the monthly level, the industrial production decreased by 2.4% compared to March 2023.According to the NKD 2007 sections, the working-day adjusted industrial production decreased the most in Manufacturing, by 5.2%, and in Mining and quarrying, by 4.3%, while it increased the most in Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply, by 9.2%.
At the end of April 2023, the total stocks of industrial finished products in the Republic of Croatia were 0.2% higher than the stocks at the end of March 2023 and 2.7% higher than the stocks at the end of April 2022.
The total number of persons employed in industry in April 2023 was 0.4% lower than in March 2023 and 0.9% lower than in April 2022.
