Increase of industrial production in September by 1.6% year-on-year

Highest increase in Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply by 7.6% and in Manufacturing by 5,1%

Working-day adjusted industrial production decreased by 1.6% in September 2023 compared to September of the previous year. According to seasonally and working-day adjusted data, industrial production showed a decrease of 4.3% month-on-month in comparison with August 2023.

According to the NKD 2007 sections, seasonally and working-day adjusted industrial production in September 2023, as compared to August 2023, increased in Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply by 7.6% and in Manufacturing by 5.1%, whereas it decreased in Mining and quarrying by 13.9%.

At the end of September 2023, the total stocks of industrial finished products in the Republic of Croatia were by 0.9% higher than the stocks at the end of August 2023, and by 6.8% higher than the stocks at the end of September 2022.

The total number of persons employed in industry in September 2023 was lower by 0.3% than in August 2023, and by 2.1% than in September 2022.
