In the first five months of 2023 more passengers on board of the vessels on cruise than in the same period of 2022

Dubrovnik was the most visited seaport
 

In the first five months of 2023, compared to the same period of 2022, an increase in the number of passengers on board of the foreign vessels on cruise was recorded, that is, this year there were 66 thousand more of them in the observed period.
 
There were 40 foreign vessels on cruise that arrived in Croatian seaports, and they realised 126 journeys in the first five months of 2023. Passengers on board those vessels, 163 thousand of them, stayed for 299 days in Croatia.
 
In the period from January to May 2023, the number of journeys of foreign vessels on cruise decreased by 6.7% compared to the first five months of 2022. However, the number of passengers on those vessels increased by 67.9% due to the fact that vessels on cruise had twice as many passengers on average than last year. The total number od sojourns of these vessels in the territorial sea of the Republic of Croatia increased by 7.6%.
 
Dubrovnik was the most visited seaport
 
The majority of visits of foreign vessels on cruise was realised in the seaport of Dubrovnik (95 visits), followed by the seaports of Split (64 visits), Zadar (33 visits), Šibenik (24 visits), Korčula (20 visits), Hvar (15 visits) and Rovinj (10 visits).
