In September 2025, there were a total of 1 756 388 persons in employment

The total registered unemployment rate reached 4.1%

In September 2025, the total number of persons in employment in the Republic of Croatia was 1 756 388, out of which 815 572 were women. Compared to August 2025, the total number of persons in employment decreased by 0.7% and the number of employed women by 0.8%. Compared to the same month of the previous year, the total number of persons in employment increased in September 2025 by 0.2% and the number of employed women by 0.8%.

In September 2025, the total number of persons in paid employment in legal entities in the Republic of Croatia amounted to 1 509 590, out of which 713 371 were women. Compared to August 2025, the number of persons in paid employment in legal entities as well as the number of employed women decreased by 0.3%. The number of persons in paid employment in legal entities in September 2025, as compared to the same month of the previous year, decreased by 0.1%, while the number of employed women increased by 0.7%. In September 2025, as compared to the previous month, the number of persons in employment in crafts and trades and free lances decreased by 3.5% and the number of employed women by 4.0%. The total number of employed insured persons - private farmers decreased by 0.5% and the number of employed female farmers by 1.0%.

The total number of unemployed persons decreased by 1.2% and the number of unemployed women by 3.3% in September 2025, as compared to August 2025. The total registered unemployment rate in September 2025 was 4.1% and for women it was 4.6%.
