In May 2025, the total number of persons in employment increased by 1.7% compared to the previous month

The total registered unemployment rate in May was 4.1%

In May 2025, the total number of persons in employment in the Republic of Croatia was 1 731 610, out of which 804 581 were women. Compared to April 2025, the total number of persons in employment increased by 1.7% and the number of employed women by 1.8%. Compared to the same month of the previous year, the total number of persons in employment increased in May 2025 by 1.0% and the number of employed women by 1.4%.

In May 2025, the total number of persons in paid employment in legal entities in the Republic of Croatia amounted to 1 489 145, out of which 704 222 were women. Compared to April 2025, the total number of persons in paid employment in legal entities, as well as the number of employed women, increased by 1.4%. In the same period, the number of persons in employment in trade and crafts and free lances increased by 3.7% and the number of employed women by 4.1% compared to the previous month. The total number of employed insured persons - private farmers increased by 4.6% and the number of employed female farmers by 4.5%.

The total number of unemployed persons decreased by 10.1% and the number of unemployed women by 10.3% in May 2025, as compared to April 2025. The total registered unemployment rate in May 2025 was 4.1% and, for women, it was 4.6%.
