In January 2024, the total number of persons in employment decreased by 1.1% compared to the month before

The total registered unemployment rate reached 6.8%

In January 2024, the total number of persons in employment in the Republic of Croatia amounted to 1 636 325, of which 760 231 were women.
 
Compared to December 2023, the total number of persons in employment was 1.1% lower and the number of employed women was 1.9% lower.
 
Compared to the same month last year, in January 2024 the total number of persons in employment was 3.1% higher and the number of women was 2.6% higher.
 
In January 2024, the total number of persons in employment in legal entities of the Republic of Croatia amounted to 1 419 668, of which 670 635 were women. Compared to December 2023, the total number of persons in employment in legal entities was 1.1% lower and the number of employed women was 2.0% lower. Compared to the same month last year, in January 2024 the total number of persons in employment in legal entities was 3.0% higher and the number of employed women was 2.4% higher.
 
The number of unemployed persons in January 2024, as compared to December 2023, increased by 4.1% and the number of unemployed women by 3.2%.

The total registered unemployment rate in January 2024 was 6.8% and for women it was 8.3%.
