In December, the industrial production was 0.9% lower at the annual level

A decrease of 1.8% in Manufacturing had the most significant impact
 

The industrial production, working-day adjusted, decreased by 0.9% in December 2023, as compared to December of the previous year. Viewed by seasonally and working-day adjusted data at the monthly level, the industrial production decreased by 4.3%, as compared to November 2023.

According to NKD 2007 sections, in December 2023 compared to December 2022, the industrial production, seasonally and working-day adjusted, decreased in Manufacturing by 1.8% and in Mining and quarrying by 1.8%, while it increased in Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply by 2.3%.

At the end of December 2023, the total stocks of industrial finished products in the Republic of Croatia were 5.3% lower than the stocks at the end of November 2023 and 5.9% higher than the stocks at the end of December 2022.

The total number of persons employed in industry in December 2023 was 0.5% lower than in November 2023 and 2.4% lower than in December 2022.
