In April 2025, there were 14.8% more tourist arrivals and 18.4% more tourist nights than in April 2024

Foreign tourists prevailed with 85.5% of total realised nights

In April 2025, there were 1.2 million tourist arrivals and 3.3 million tourist nights in commercial accommodation establishments, which was 14.8% more tourist arrivals and 18.4% more tourist nights as compared to April 2024. Concerning the structure of tourist nights in commercial accommodation establishments in April 2025, foreign tourists prevailed with 85.5% of total realised nights, while the share of domestic tourists accounted for 14.5%. 

Domestic tourists realised 228 thousand arrivals and 477 thousand nights, which was 4.6% more tourist arrivals and 2.6% more nights compared to April 2024.

Foreign tourists realised 956 thousand arrivals and 2.8 thousand nights, which was 17.5% more tourist arrivals and 21.6% more nights compared to April 2024.
 
Tourists from Germany realised the most tourist nights, while Istria was the most attractive destination

Tourists from Germany realised in April 2025 the most foreign tourist nights among foreign tourists, as much as 532 thousand of them, which accounted for 18.9% of the total realised foreign tourist nights. Compared to April 2024, German tourists realised 48.4% more nights.

German tourists recognised Istria as the most attractive destination. They realised 234 thousand tourist nights there, which accounted for 44.0% of their total nights realised in Croatia. Compared to April 2024, it represented an increase of as much as 74.5% in the nights realised by tourists from Germany.

Not only German tourists recognised the County of Istria as the most attractive destination. The most tourist nights in April 2025 were realised in this County, as much as 997 thousand of them, which accounted for 30.3% of the total realised tourist nights in Croatia. Compared to April 2024, there were even 30.2% more tourist nights realised in the County of Istria. The most foreign tourist nights in the County of Istria were realised by tourists from Germany (26.1%). They were followed by nights realised by the tourists from Slovenia (22.0%), Austria (16.8%), Italy (7.5%) and Poland (3.6%).
 
There were more tourist arrivals and nights in the first four months of 2025

In the first four months of 2025, there were 2.2 million arrivals and 5.6 million nights realised in commercial accommodation establishments, which was 3.6% more tourist arrivals and 4.7% more tourist nights as compared to the same period of 2024.

Domestic tourists realised a total of 681 thousand arrivals and 1.4 million nights in the first four months of 2025, which was an increase of 6.4% in the number of arrivals and of 3.2% in the number of nights compared to the first four months of 2024.

Foreign tourists realised a total of 1.5 million arrivals and 4.3 million nights in the first four months of 2025, which was a 2.4% increase in the number of arrivals and a 5.2% increase in the number of nights compared to the same period of 2024.
