From Čakovec to Dubrovnik – here’s where ten top teams from the Statistical Competition come from

Pre-selection results and voting opportunities

The eighth edition of the Statistical Competition is nearing its peak. After 121 teams submitted their presentations in the second round of the competition, in the pre-selection we found out which ten teams were the best in each category (category A for 3rd and 4th grade secondary school students and category B for 1st and 2nd grade secondary school students).

A look at the results will make any statistical fan happy, as school teams from literally all over Croatia - from Čakovec and Varaždin to Zagreb and Slavonia to Rijeka and Zadar, and even the southernmost Dubrovnik - have found their place in the top 10! This shows that secondary school students are doing a great job throughout Croatia and that interest in statistics does not subside.

The top 10 presentations per category can be viewed at the link and you can also cast your vote. Do it by 14 March, because the team that gathers the most votes in its category will win a special Public Award!

The presentations selected by the pre-selection, conducted by Jelena Gusić Munđar, a professor from Varaždin's Faculty of Organization and Informatics, are now being sent to the jury's assessment, and we will find out who the best teams are on 4 April 2025 at the announcement and award ceremony.
