Decrease of industrial production in August by 2.4% year-on-year

Highest decrease in Manufacturing by 3.1%

Working-day adjusted industrial production decreased by 2.4% in August 2023 compared to August of the previous year. According to seasonally and working-day adjusted data, industrial production showed a decrease of 2.2% month-on-month in comparison with July 2023.

According to the NKD 2007 sections, seasonally and working-day adjusted industrial production in August 2023, as compared to July 2023, decreased in Manufacturing by 3.1%, in Mining and quarrying by 2.1%, and in Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply by 0.5%.
 
At the end of August 2023, the total stocks of industrial finished products in the Republic of Croatia were by 7.4% lower than the stocks at the end of July 2023, and by 5.3% higher than the stocks at the end of August 2022.
 
The total number of persons employed in industry in August 2023 was lower by 0.1% than in July 2023, and by 2.0% than in August 2022
