Average net earnings reach 1 191 euro in December 2023

The highest earnings paid in the activity Manufacture of coke and refined petroleum products

For December 2023, the average monthly paid off net earnings per person in paid employment in legal entities in the Republic of Croatia amounted to 1 191 euro, which represented a nominal decrease of 1.4% and a real one of 0.9%, as compared to November 2023. The average monthly paid gross earnings per person in paid employment in legal entities in the Republic of Croatia for December 2023 amounted to 1 620 euro, which represented a nominal decrease of 3.5% and a real one of 3.0%, as compared to November 2023.

The highest average monthly paid net earnings per person in paid employment in legal entities for December 2023 were paid in the activity Manufacture of coke and refined petroleum products and amounted to 1 795 euro, while the lowest earnings were paid in the activity Manufacture of wearing apparel and amounted to 739 euro.The highest average monthly paid gross earnings per person in paid employment in legal entities for December 2023 were paid in the activity Manufacture of coke and refined petroleum products and amounted to 2 662 euro, while the lowest earnings were paid in the activity Manufacture of wearing apparel and amounted to 920 euro.

The average monthly paid net earnings per person in paid employment in legal entities in the Republic of Croatia for December 2023 were 13.9% higher in nominal terms and 9.0% higher in real terms, as compared to the same month of the previous year. The average monthly paid gross earnings per person in paid employment in legal entities in the Republic of Croatia for December 2023 were 13.5% higher in nominal terms and 8.6% higher in real terms, as compared to the same month of the previous year.

Median net earnings for December 2023 amounted to 1 005 euro, while median gross earnings amounted to 1 334 euro.
