Average monthly net earnings in January 2026 amounted to 1 511 euro

The average monthly paid net earnings per person in paid employment in legal entities in the Republic of Croatia for January 2026 amounted to 1 511 euro, which represented a nominal increase of 1.1% and a real one of 0.8%, as compared to December 2025. The average monthly gross earnings per person in paid employment in legal entities in the Republic of Croatia for January 2026 amounted to 2 114 euro, which represented a nominal increase of 1.3% and a real one of 1.0%, as compared to December 2025.

The average monthly paid net earnings per person in paid employment in legal entities in the Republic of Croatia for January 2026 were 8.5% higher in nominal terms and 4.9% higher in real terms, as compared to the same month of the previous year. The average monthly gross earnings per person in paid employment in legal entities in the Republic of Croatia for January 2026 were 9.8% higher in nominal terms and 6.2% higher in real terms, as compared to the same month of the previous year. The highest average monthly paid net earnings per person in paid employment in legal entities for January 2026 were paid in the activity Air transport and amounted to 2 352 euro, while the lowest earnings were paid in the activity Manufacture of wearing apparel and amounted to 986 euro. The highest average monthly gross earnings per person in paid employment in legal entities for January 2026 were in the activity Air transport and amounted to 3 432 euro, while the lowest earnings were in the activity Manufacture of wearing apparel and amounted to 1 311 euro.

Median net earnings for January 2026 amounted to 1 304 euro, which was 1.9% higher than in December 2025. As compared to the same month of the previous year, they increased by 8.7%. Median gross earnings for January 2026 amounted to 1 789 euro, which was 2.3% higher than in December 2025. As compared to the same month of the previous year, they increased by 10.5%.
