Attention, high schoolers! Applications for the Statistics Competition have started!
Applications for the ninth edition of the Statistics Competition in the 2025/2026 school year are officially open. Therefore, high schoolers, pay attention! You have time until 23 December 2025 to find a mentor teacher and bring together a team with a maximum of three students. Your team does not necessarily have to attend the same class, but you all have to go to the same school.
If perhaps your first association is that a mentor can only be a math teacher, this is not entirely true. He/she can, but does not have to be. Therefore, if you know a professor who is willing to be a mentor, even if he/she does not teach mathematics, do not waste time and pull him/her by the sleeve this very day.
The Statistics Competition is again organised in two phases - national and European, and the national phase, as before, consists of two rounds of competition. The best part, at least judging by the comments of last year's participants, is that it takes place completely online. You can be in your classroom, at someone's home, or anywhere you feel your ingenuity is most pronounced.
Visit the official page of the Statistical Competition and find out the answers to the questions who?, what?, where?, when? and how? And why should you do that? In addition to the opportunity to enrol in the list of statistical geniuses whose superpowers are data, you can also win rich prizes provided by Podravka, HalPet, Altpro, SRCE and Sofascore.
We think in this equation everything is clear! You multiplied by your team equals the winning combination. We're waiting for you!
