Lidija Brković, Director General of the Croatian Bureau of Statistics, and Ivana Aljinović, Secretary to the Director General’s Office, and Marija Kamenski, Head of the International Relations Department, as the Croatian delegation attended the 20th session of the Committee on Statistics and Statistical Policy of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), which was held in Paris from 26 to 27 June 2023.

Delegates from OECD member countries and acceding countries discussed the management of statistical data and statistical policy, as well as the ways in which national statistical offices can act as reliable data intermediaries in today's world of new technologies. The topics discussed included the Organization's way forward in terms of new data sources, i.e. the Innovation LAB, alternative data and the OECD's work related to artificial intelligence. The discussion also touched upon the post-accession report of Costa Rica.

After the formal part of the session, the Croatian delegation held an informal meeting with the Committee for Statistics and Statistical Policy, which will be a follow-up to the Committee’s earlier visit to the Croatian Bureau of Statistics in April 2023, as part of the process of the Republic of Croatia's accession to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development.
